Image Description

At first glance, this focus could be easily confused with well-differentiated prostatic adenocarcinoma. Lipofuscin is a wear and tear pigment and appears in seminal vesicular epithelium in increasing amounts with age. Atypical hyperchromatic nuclei are also an age-related phenomenon. Both findings are inconspicuous in this seminal vesicle from a young 25 y/o man (autopsy case).
