Gross Pathology (continued from the previous image): Some adult granulosa cell tumors (GCTs) of the ovary are predominantly cystic. They consist of unilocular or multilocular cysts with smooth inner walls and are filled with clear, straw-colored or blood-tinged fluid. Extensively cystic adult GCTs can grossly resemble cystadenomas. Cystic adult GCTs are more likely to be androgenic tumors and produce virilization in younger women.
