Most lymphangiomas (more than 90%) manifest by age 2. The most common sites affected are head, neck and axilla. Some cases involve parenchymal organs such as spleen (shown here), lung, liver, bone, and gastrointestinal tract. Lymphangiomas are no longer subclassified into capillary, cystic and cavernous subtypes.
