Osteosarcoma : Radiographic Features
Image Description
This osteosarcoma was diagnosed in a young boy. Radiological findings are typical (except for the slightly diaphyseal involvement). The tumor is lytic and destructive with irregular, permeative margins and soft tissue extension. The widely known Codman triangles (reactive periosteal new bone formation around the edges) are prominent. Image courtesy of Bulent Celasun, MD, Ankara, Turkey. Used with permission.
