Pilocytic Astrocytoma : Rosenthal fibers

One of the histologic features of pilocytic astrocytomas is the presence of brightly eosinophilic, corkscrew-shaped Rosenthal fibers (shown here). Another useful diagnostic feature is PAS+ve eosinophilic granular bodies.
