Image Description
The image shows glomeruloid vessels with multiple lumina along a cystic space in a pilocytic astrocytoma. This is a commonly seen feature and should not be mistaken for endothelial hyperplasia of high-grade diffuse gliomas. True multilayered endothelial hyperplasia may rarely be seen in pilocytic astrocytomas; however, it does not carry the same ominous significance that it portends in diffuse gliomas. A few brightly eosinophilic Rosenthal fibers are also present in the lower part of the image.
