Image Description

Grossly, the tumor has solid and cystic components. The solid component may be attached to the dura which may result in the appearance of a "dural tail sign" on the MRI (this sign is more commonly seen with Meningiomas). Microscopically, the tumor has a mesenchymal appearance and consists largely of spindle cells arranged in storiform pattern.
