Desmoplastic infantile ganglioglioma is a benign CNS tumor (WHO Grade I) that is usually seen in infants younger than 2 yrs. Males are slightly more commonly affected (M:F = 2:1). They are large solid and cystic lesions that may replace much of the brain tissue on one side as seen in this MRI. The solid component shows intense enhancement with contrast. This patient was a 9 month old boy who presented with rapidly enlarging head circumference and bulging fontanelles (typical presentation) and increased irritability.
