Image Description

Diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (DLBCL) of the large intestine mostly involve older adults with a slight male predominance. A small number of cases are associated with ulcerative colitis (UC). They are located distally in the colon, often in the areas of active inflammation. Immunosuppressive therapy given to UC patients may be a predisposing factor. The image shows mostly centroblastic cells surrounding a crypt in a case of DLBCL of colon.
