Peripheral Ossifying Fibroma : Microscopic
Image Description
Microscopic Features of Peripheral Ossifying Fibroma (POF): POF consists of a dense fibroblastic proliferation associated with mineralized matrix. The mineralized matrix can consist of dystrophic calcification, cementum-like material, or bone. Older or healed lesions usually contain well-formed lamellar bone or cementum-like areas, both of which are seen in this case.
