Image Description

The stromal component resembles the endometrial stroma. The atypical stromal cells show some condensation around benign glandular lining (periglandular cuffing). About 20% of cases show heterologus elements, usually skeletal muscle. The glandular component is usually proliferative endometrioid epithelium; however, some cases have squamous, endocervical, tubal, or clear cell type epithelium.
