Image Description

Primary lymphomas of the bladder account for only 0.2% of extranodal lymphomas whereas secondary bladder involvement is seen in approximately 13% of extranodal lymphomas. This low power view of a bladder TUR specimen shows a monomorphic dense lymphocytic infiltrate. The final diagnosis was marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of MALT type which is the most common type of primary bladder lymphoma.
