Image Description

Urachal adenocarcinomas frequently invade muscularis propria (shown here) or perivesical soft tissues given their origin in the urachal remnants within the bladder wall. The overlying urothelium is uninvolved except in advanced cases where it may be ulcerated. Mucinous lesions may undergo calcification and be picked up on plain films of the abdomen.
