Brunn nests, cystitis cystica and cystitis glandularis represent a continuum of reactive changes and often merge imperceptibly with one another as seen in this image. Often they are incidental findings on cystoscopy. They don't increase the risk for urothelial carcinoma and don't need to be treated.
