Image Description

Treatment & Prognosis: Juvenile granulosa cell tumor of the testis consistently behaves in a benign fashion. Therefore, testis-sparing procedures such as wedge resection are appropriate treatment whenever feasible. The prognosis is excellent.

This image shows longitudinally sectioned follicles. They are lined internally by multiple layers of cells resembling granulosa cells. The outer layers of cells resemble theca cells of normal Graafian follicle and they merge with the surrounding stroma.
