Image Description

This orchiectomy specimen is from an adult male (mid-thirties) who presented with infertility. He was found to have bilaterally atrophic testicles, azoospermia, and a mass in one of the testicles. Serum tumor markers (AFP, beta-hCG, and LDH) were within reference range.

The specimen shows a 1.0 cm reddish-brown, well-circumscribed tumor in an atrophic-appearing testicle. The microscopic features were diagnostic of Leydig cell tumor.
