Image Description
Diffuse Embryoma: In this pattern of mixed germ cell tumor, there is admixture of embryonal carcinoma and yolk sac tumor components in equal proportions.
The two components may be randomly admixed or create a double-layered pattern consisting of flattened epithelium of YST (glypican 3 positive) parallel to cuboidal or columnar layer of embryonal carcinoma (CD30 positive). Other elements such as trophoblastic cells and teratoma may also be present as minor components.
