Image Description

Seminomas usually have a homogenous gross appearance. Some tumors, however, are extensively necrotic and may have a variegated appearance. In this case, sharply demarcated yellowish areas of necrosis are scattered throughout the tumor. Extensive sampling is recommended in such cases to rule out the possibility of non-seminomatous germ cell components.
