Image Description
This variant of prostate cancer shows abundant foamy cytoplasm in the tumor cells. Pink amorphous secretions are present in some of the glands. The nuclei are small and hyperchromatic. Prominent nucleoli are generally not seen. The diagnosis of adenocarcinoma is largely based on the crowded infiltrative appearance of the glands. Basal cell markers may be used to confirm the diagnosis.
