This image shows a corpus amylaceum with a golden-brown hue surrounded by a ring of eosinophilic material. The color of corpora amylacea varies from pink to purple to golden brown. Corpora amylacea are usually seen in benign glands but can be detected in between 10% and 15% of carcinomas.
