Image Description

Corpora amylacea are round, oval, or irregularly shaped structures with lamellated appearance seen within the prostatic glands. They are thought to arise from layers of inspissated secretions deposited around shed acinar epithelial cells. The color of corpora amylacea varies from pink to purple to golden brown.
