Paraganglia are not seen in association with benign prostate glands. They are embedded in fibroconnective stroma or smooth muscle. Higher magnification of a paraganglion in a prostate needle biopsy. The cells have abundant granular amphophilic cytoplasm. There is rich vascular network.
