Image Description

With high molecular weight cytokeratin immunostain, fragmented basal cell layer is seen in at least three-fourths of the glands. In lesions suspected of being adenosis, the absence of basal cell staining in a few glands should not be used as evidence of cancer, as long as these glands resemble their neighbors with patchy basal cell staining.
