Horseshoe Kidney – Clinical Features: Horseshoe kidney is usually asymptomatic and discovered incidentally at autopsy or on imaging studies performed for other reasons. Most cases shown here are autopsy photos. When patients develop hydronephrosis, there is risk of sepsis or stone formation. Hydronephrosis may cause vague abdominal pain and a palpable mass.
