The neoplastic cells have a fine reticular cytoplasm and bland nuclei some of which have 'raisinoid' appearance. The cells have distinct, thick nuclear membranes and perinuclear halos. Some cells have no nuclei in the plane of section due to the voluminous cytoplasm.
