Primary well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumor of the kidney: The tumor is composed of a uniform population of cells arranged in tightly packed ribbons and cords. The intervening stroma varies in consistency and quantity from case to case and within various parts of the tumor. It may be edematous or sclerotic.
