Primary Leiomyosarcoma of Kidney: There is a large, pink-tan, well-circumscribed, multinodular mass with a whorled appearance in the hilum of the kidney. The prognosis of primary leiomyosarcoma of kidney is poor, with a 3-yr. survival rate of about 20%. The median survival is about 18 months. Low-grade tumors have a better prognosis than high-grade tumors.
