Image Description
Primary Leiomyosarcoma of Kidney: The tumor often produces a well-circumscribed, large, multinodular, bulging mass on the external surface or hilum of the kidney. About 30% are located within the renal parenchyma. They may reach large sizes, measuring as much as 25 cm. The cut surface has gray-tan, whorled appearance with areas of softening, necrosis, and hemorrhage. The clinical presentation may include hematuria, flank pain, fever, palpable abdominal mass, or even distant metastases.
