Image Description

Introduction: Genitourinary system is one of the most frequently involved sites in extranodal lymphomas. The patterns of renal involvement include secondary (most common), primary, intravascular lymphoma, and post-transplant lymphoma. Patients dying of systemic lymphomas show renal involvement at autopsy in 35-60% of cases, of which 75% have bilateral disease (as shown here). Immunocompromised states seen in HIV infection and organ transplant recipients are risk factors for primary renal lymphomas.
