Image Description

This epithelial type hepatoblastoma shows a fetal "mature" pattern (left one-third) merging with an embryonal "immature" area (right two-thirds), highlighting the contrast between the two subtypes. Fetal areas resemble mature liver parenchyma, with relative cellular uniformity, little atypia, rare mitoses, and tumor cells with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm. Embryonal areas appear less mature, with high nuclear:cytoplasmic ratios, more cellular atypia, and increased mitotic activity.
