Image Description

This is another example of a poorly-differentiated neuroblastoma which is composed of typical neuroblasts. This field does not show any degree of maturation toward ganglion cells. When present, maturation involves 5% or less of the tumor. Two of the important histologic features of poorly-differentiated neuroblastomas are neuropil (shown here) and Homer-Wright rosettes (not depicted here).
