Image Description

Higher magnification of previous image showing nuclear pleomorphism and prominent nucleoli. These findings can help distinguish a poroma from a porocarcinoma. When cytologic atypia is confined to the epidermis, the lesion is referred to as porocarcinoma-in-situ. The left half of the image shows ductal structures - a helpful diagnostic feature of eccrine differentiation.
