If left untreated, porocarcinoma can metastasize to lymph nodes, lung, and bone. In one of the largest studies to date, tumor depth >7 mm was associated with poor prognosis. This image shows tumor nests infiltrating into the deep dermis and subcutis. A striking desmoplastic response is also present.
