Image Description

Although some cases of porocarcinoma develop as a primary lesion, others can arise from a pre-existing poroma which has undergone malignant transformation. Porocarcinoma is distinguished from poroma by the presence of an infiltrative border and cytologic atypia. In this image, the tumor cells have abundant pale cytoplasm and show moderate nuclear atypia.
