Comments:
Wilms tumors with unfavorable histology contain anaplasia – defined as the presence of hyperchromatic, enlarged nuclei (at least 3 times as large as blastemal nuclei), and multipolar mitotic figures. Anaplasia portends poor prognosis and is seen in about 6% of WT cases.
