Liver involvement is commonly seen in CLL. The leukemic infiltrates are mainly seen in the portal tracts. This low power panoramic view shows expansion of the portal areas by small, dark cells of CLL. Hepatic function is usually preserved, except in a small group of patients with extensive, advanced lesions.
