Topic: Mesenchymal Tumors

Category: Cervix

slide 1 of 3

Comments:
The patient was a 32 y/o female who presented with abdominal pain and was found to have a large mass in uterine cervix. The hysterectomy specimen revealed a 14 cm leiomyoma. The cut surface shows cystic degeneration with accumulation of seromucinous fluid in large cysts. The solid areas show whorling with raw silk appearance. Courtesy of: Dr. Sanjay D. Deshmukh & Dr. A.
