Comments:
Left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery with plaque rupture and superimposed thrombosis. This 68 y/o male with history of ischemic heart disease died suddenly. The lumen of the LAD coronary artery was nearly completely blocked over a 1.0 cm segment (same case as the previous image).
