Comments:
Lymph Node in Secondary Syphilis: The patient is a 25 y/o male with secondary syphilis who presented with bilateral inguinal and left axillary lymphadenopathy of about 5 weeks’ duration and a generalized skin rash. Sections of one of the removed lymph nodes reveal striking hyperplasia of the lymphoid follicles. The lymph node capsule is expanded by chronic inflammation and fibrosis.   return to Lymphadenitides
