Topic: Lymphadenitides

Category: Lymph Node

Comments:
A substantial proportion of HSV lymphadenitis patients have hematologic malignancies, as was the case here. The patient had a long-standing history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia which had been treated with chemotherapy and radiation. The neoplastic lymphocytes are seen here as a band surrounded by necrosis.   return to Lymphadenitides
