Mucinous Carcinoma of Breast

Topic: Mucinous (Colloid) Carcinoma

Category: Breast Carcinomas

slide 8 of 10

Comments:
Clusters of well-differentiated tumor cells floating in pools of mucin. Mucinous carcinomas show lower frequency of axillary nodal metastases and carry an excellent short-term prognosis. However, the tumor may recur several years after initial therapy necessitating long-term follow-up.   return to Mucinous (Colloid) Carcinoma
