Gallstones : Radiology

Comments:
Ultrasonography can detect biliary sludge as well as gallstones measuring > 2 mm. This ultrasound shows two gallstones within the gallbladder. The stones are dependently located and show posterior acoustic shadowing, allowing them to be differentiated from gallbladder polyps.
