Microscopic Features: Lipoma arborescens consists of villous projections filled with mature adipose tissue and lined by synovium which may be hyperplastic. Villous fronds often contain hyperemic capillaries. Mild to moderate chronic inflammatory infiltrate may be present in the subsynovial tissue.
