Image Description

High power view showing the delicate stroma between lymphatic spaces in a lymphangioma. Treatment of this benign lesion is by surgery. Some cases have been successfully treated with sclerosing agents. The clinical course may be complicated by the large size, location at a critical site, and its tendency to get infected. Cavernous hemangiomas have higher recurrence rate following surgery due to their diffuse nature.
