Glomus Tumor

Glomus tumors may show solid areas with an organoid growth pattern. The tumor cells are round and regular with uniform circular nuclei. Degenerative changes may sometimes be noted in the nuclei. Subungual tumors usually present with sharp paroxysmal pain triggered by temperature changes or tactile stimuli. Other locations for glomus tumors include precoccygeal region, trachea, gastrointestinal tract, vagina, cervix, and bone.
