Cutaneous Angiosarcoma : Microscopic

Microscopic Features: Cutaneous angiosarcomas appear as an ill-defined infiltrative vascular mass in the dermis and subcutaneous tissues. They are most often moderately differentiated and form anastomosing network of vascular channels of varying caliber. In contrast to benign hemangiomas, these vascular channels dissect through dermal tissue planes.

Destructive vascular proliferation dissecting through dermal collagen and engulfing adnexal structures is a diagnostic hallmark of cutaneous angiosarcomas.
