Image Description

Some epithelioid sarcomas have a predominant spindle growth pattern which may obscure the epithelioid features. Such cases have to be distinguished from nodular fasciitis, fibrous histiocytoma, and fibromatosis. The tumor cells in epithelioid sarcoma tend to be positive for cytokeratin and EMA - a helpful distinguishing feature.
