Image Description

Angiomyomas usually consist of a well-circumscribed smooth muscle nodule containing numerous thick-walled blood vessels. The outer smooth muscle cell layer of the vessel wall gradually merges with the smooth muscle proliferation in between the vessels. The blood vessels in angiomyomas are difficult to classify as they do not have the typical structure of either arteries or veins.
