Myxoma of Deep Soft Tissue

Note the lobulated architecture of this tumor which presented in deep soft tissues. The differential diagnosis includes 1) tumors with myxoid change as a secondary component such as - liposarcoma, chondrosarcoma, leiomyosarcoma, myxofibrosarcoma, neurofibroma, neurothekeoma etc., and 2) non-neoplastic disorders with mucinous degeneration in skin and soft tissues such as - myxedema, nodular fasciitis, ganglion, and various mucinoses.
