Clinical Features: Pleomorphic liposarcoma occurs in adults with a peak incidence in the 7th decade of life. It presents as a rapidly growing painless mass located in the deep soft tissues of the extremities (two-thirds of cases; lower > upper extremity) or retroperitoneum. About 25% of cases are located more superficially in the subcutaneous fat. Less common sites include the trunk, mediastinum, heart, pleura, breast, scalp, colon, and orbit.
